inzh.ch is a data portal for the canton of Zurich in Switzerland. The data used comes from public sources that are made available via Rest API. It contains information about the cantonal parliament and leisure activities in the canton of Zurich and neighboring regions.

Data on the cantonal parliament

The data on the cantonal parliament includes historical and current data sets. The historical data goes back to 1803 and includes personal data on members of the cantonal council.

The data on current events in the cantonal parliament includes personal data, information on business and meetings of the cantonal council, as well as committees and constituencies.

People and other data relating to the cantonal parliament can be searched and filtered by keyword.

Data sources

Leisure activities and tourism offers in Zurich and the surrounding area

The data comes from the Open Data API of the Canton of Zurich, on which the official website zuerich.com is also based. The data covers a wide range of locations related to leisure activities and tourism offers, including hotels, restaurants, clubs, and the like. The data is primarily aimed at visitors and tourists, but not exclusively.

The central element is an interactive map where the locations are displayed with markers and clusters. In addition to providing standard information, the markers also serve as page navigation.

Navigation is by region, thematic field, or keyword search.

The portal is available in four languages and has a dark or light layout depending on the user's settings.

It was completed in September 2024. Since then, there has been a steady flow of visitors to the site via search engines, particularly due to the content related to the cantonal parliament.

This portal gives you info on past and current members of the cantonal council. The data comes from the Canton of Zurich's business management system and is made available through Rest API.

Members of the cantonal council can be listed according to committees, parties, or other affiliations. Users click on individual list entries to access the respective detail pages.

The data portal also provides information about places and leisure activities in the greater Zurich area. An interactive map is the central element. Markers and clusters on the map provide information about locations and also serve as page navigation.

When you move the mouse over a marker, a brief description of the location is displayed as a tooltip. If you click on the marker, detailed information about the location is displayed in the left-hand info bar.

The detailed view of a registered location provides various information that may be of interest to visitors. For example, contact information, opening hours, offers, or images. The map adapts to the theme color of the user interface.
